Job description
TYTAN Technologies
At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect Europe’s sovereignty.
We are seeking an experienced vEFK (Electrical Safety Manager) to take on formal electrical safety responsibility for our drone production facility, in accordance with DGUV Vorschrift 3 and DIN VDE 0105-100. As vEFK, you will be the designated person accountable for the safe operation, maintenance, and modification of all electrical systems and equipment across production lines, test benches, and facility infrastructure.
Your Road Map To Make an Impact
Assume formal responsibility (per §13 DGUV V3 / VDE 0105) for electrical safety across the production facility, including assembly lines, battery test/charging stations, RF and avionics test benches, and building electrical systems
Issue, review, and sign off on electrical work permits and switching authorizations
Conduct and document risk assessments for electrical work (live working, lockout/tagout, isolation procedures)
Supervise and coordinate Elektrofachkräfte (EFK) and elektrotechnisch unterwiesene Personen (EuP) on site
Oversee inspection and testing of electrical equipment, machinery, and battery/charging infrastructure (per DGUV V3, VDE 0701-0702, and applicable Li-ion battery handling standards)
Manage compliance with low-voltage directive, EMC requirements, and relevant drone/UAV manufacturing electrical safety standards
Investigate electrical incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances; drive corrective actions
Maintain documentation: circuit diagrams, inspection logs, training records, and safety instructions (Betriebsanweisungen)
Liaise with quality, EHS, and engineering teams on electrical aspects of new production line rollouts and equipment procurement
Train and qualify personnel on electrical safety procedures specific to drone assembly (e.g., high-density battery packs, motor/ESC testing, RF equipment)
Job requirements
Completed vocational/technical training as Elektroniker, Elektroinstallateur, or equivalent, plus further qualification enabling appointment as vEFK (e.g., Meister, Techniker, or Ingenieur in Elektrotechnik)
Formal written appointment eligibility as vEFK per employer's organizational delegation (Unternehmerpflichtenübertragung)
Several years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, ideally in manufacturing/production environments
Sound knowledge of DGUV Vorschrift 3, VDE 0100/0105, VDE 0701-0702, and low-voltage directive requirements
Experience with battery systems (Li-Po/Li-ion) and their associated electrical hazards is highly desirable given the UAV/drone context
Strong documentation discipline and ability to train/supervise other electrical personnel
Fluent German (technical/regulatory) and good working English (for international engineering teams)
Preferred / Nice to Have
Experience in aerospace, UAV, or electronics/precision manufacturing
Familiarity with ESD-sensitive component handling
Knowledge of RF/EMC testing environments
Experience with automated or semi-automated production line electrical systems
