Job description

TYTAN Technologies

At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect Europe’s sovereignty.

We're looking for a Systems Integration Engineer with 2 - 4 years of experience to join our team. Your core focus will be making sure all the pieces work together, taking subsystems developed across avionics, software, and hardware teams and verifying that they integrate correctly into a functioning, reliable platform. You'll be the person who catches the gaps between components, owns the integration and commissioning process on the production floor, and drives issues through to resolution. This role is ideal for someone who understands both the hardware and software sides well enough to diagnose where things break down at the boundary.

Your roadmap to make an impact

  • Define and execute integration test procedures across subsystems: Build structured test plans to validate interfaces, data flows, and behavior across hardware and software boundaries; document pass/fail outcomes and track issues to closure

  • Identify, triage, and resolve integration failures across the stack: Diagnose issues spanning physical connections, communication protocols (CAN, UART, Ethernet), embedded Linux configuration, and autopilot behaviour

  • Act as a technical bridge between avionics, software, and hardware teams: Translate interface requirements across disciplines, flag incompatibilities early, and keep integration on track across concurrent work streams

  • Support autopilot setup, sensor calibration, and communication link validation: Configure and verify PX4 or ArduPilot parameters for each platform variant; confirm correct operation of all onboard sensors and data links before handoff

  • Lead integration and commissioning of UAV platforms end-to-end: Bring together subsystems, verify correct interfacing, and sign off on platform readiness for test and production

  • Maintain accurate integration records, wiring references, and test reports: Ensure documentation reflects the current state of each platform so the team can reproduce, audit, and build on integration work with confidence

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field

  • 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience with embedded Linux systems and system bring-up in a professional or advanced academic setting; + you’re comfortable working with Linux on a daily basis

  • Proficiency in Python and Bash; good knowledge of C++, you can deliver clean and readable code

  • Familiarity with communication tools such as CAN, UART, or Ethernet, plus a basic grasp of networking fundamentals

  • Solid grounding in electrical engineering basics, cable pinouts, voltage requirements, serial protocols, and similar hands-on topics

  • Good understanding of UAV systems engineering, including how subsystems integrate and interact

  • Hands-on experience with autopilot software (PX4 or ArduPilot) or robotics middleware (ROS2)

  • Experience working in a production or field environment where issues need to be resolved quickly and reliably

  • Able to grasp problems quickly, troubleshoot systematically, and stay effective when things get busy

Why TYTAN?

  • Virtual stock options: Participate in our success through Virtual stock options (VSOPs) at the company's current valuation

  • Monthly allowances: €106/month in flexible benefits including lunch discounts and EGYM Wellpass or shopping credit

  • Regular health care events: Health check-ups, skin screenings, mental health workshops, and an annual vitamin infusion on us

  • Referral bonus: Earn a reward when someone you refer joins the team

  • Regular team events: On- and off-site activities to connect and celebrate together

  • Corporate discounts: Exclusive employee discounts across a wide range of partner brands

  • Flexibility: Flexible working hours and hybrid work model, plus a modern Munich office built for focus and collaboration
