Job description

TYTAN Technologies

At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect European sovereignty.

We are looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager to define and execute the long-term procurement strategy for our operations. This role goes beyond transactional purchasing and focuses on supplier strategy, cost optimization, risk management, and scalability, supporting both current production and future growth. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations, ensuring a resilient, cost-effective, and scalable supply base.

Your roadmap to make an impact

Procurement Strategy & Supplier Management

  • Develop and implement the strategic procurement roadmap aligned with business, growth, and manufacturing objectives.

  • Define sourcing strategies for key commodities, components, and services (single vs. dual sourcing, make/buy decisions).

  • Select, onboard and manage global suppliers, building long-term strategic partnerships.

Cost, Risk & Contract Management

  • Lead cost reduction and value engineering initiatives in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing (e.g. should-cost analysis, DFM/DFA support).

  • Lead supplier negotiations, contracts and commercial agreements.

  • Identify, manage and mitigate supply chain risks through effective contingency and risk mitigation plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the procurement interface to Manufacturing, R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations.

  • Support new product introductions (NPI), production ramp-ups, and production scaling with early supplier involvement.

  • Align procurement with production planning, inventory policies, operational constraints, and quality requirements.

Governance, Processes & Performance

  • Own procurement processes, policies, and governance standards.

  • Track and improve procurement KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance, OTIF, risk exposure) and ensure compliance.

  • Support digitalization and optimization of procurement tools and systems.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Proven experience managing strategic suppliers and complex sourcing initiatives.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.

  • Experience supporting NPI, production ramp-ups, and scaling operations.

  • Structured, data-driven working style with a high sense of ownership.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g. SAP) is a plus.

  • Fluency in English; German is a plus.
