Jobbeschreibung

TYTAN Technologies

At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect European sovereignty.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design and validate power systems, wiring harnesses, and ensure electromagnetic compatibility in complex environments for advanced UAV platforms. This role focuses on real-world deployment, working across fixed-wing and VTOL aircraft, including transitioning platforms.

You will take electrical systems from design to flight, creating electrical architectures, selecting components, writing production procedures, integrating and validating performance through hands-on bench and flight testing in operational environments.

Your roadmap to make an impact

  • Own the end-to-end electrical architecture and EWIS lifecycle for UAV platforms, from early design to operational deployment

  • Design, implement, and validate robust wiring harnesses and cable management solutions for fixed-wing and VTOL aircraft

  • Define and optimize power distribution systems, including battery integration, protection concepts, and power solutions

  • Integrate and ensure reliable operation of avionics, payloads, radios, and onboard computing hardware

  • Take electrical systems from design into real aircraft, ensuring reliability in harsh operational environments

  • Perform hands-on integration, debugging, and testing, both on the bench and on the aircraft

  • Lead and support ground and flight testing, including instrumentation, failure analysis, and iterative improvements

  • Ensure EMI/EMC-aware design practices and robust signal integrity across all systems

  • Collaborate closely with airframe, avionics, and software teams to ensure system-level coherence

  • Document electrical architectures, wiring diagrams, and integration procedures in a clear and maintainable manner

  • Support compliance with Bundeswehr (Bw) requirements and relevant aerospace standards where applicable

Stellenanforderungen

Who you are

  • Proven experience developing electrical systems or EWIS for UAVs, aircraft, or complex robotic systems

  • Strong experience with fixed-wing and VTOL platforms

  • Proven exposure to real-world system deployment and hardware integration, beyond purely theoretical design

  • Strong hands-on mindset, comfortable with building, wiring, crimping, soldering, and debugging real systems

  • Solid understanding of power systems, low-voltage distribution, grounding, shielding, and protection concepts

  • Experience designing wiring harnesses, connectors, and cable routing under mechanical and environmental constraints

  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations and best practices in mixed-signal systems

  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Experience integrating radios, sensors, compute units, and avionics hardware

  • Comfortable working across disciplines, bridging electrical, mechanical, and software domains

Nice to have

  • Experience with aerospace EWIS standards (e.g., routing, separation, redundancy concepts)

  • Familiarity with UAV autopilot hardware (e.g., PX4 ecosystem) and system integration

  • Experience supporting or instrumenting flight tests

  • Background in battery systems (Li-ion/LiPo) and safety concepts

  • Exposure to military or defense-related requirements

Why TYTAN?

  • Be the first to welcome the world into a deep-tech defense startup that is shaping the future of security.

  • Work in a fast-paced, international team where your contributions truly matter and your impact is immediate.

  • Participate in our success with stock options.

  • Be part of something bigger in a mission driven company.

  • Enjoy flexible working hours.

  • Access to EGYM Wellpass sports facilities.

  • All day coffee and snacks, team events, and a modern office in Munich.
