TYTAN is a young deep-tech defense company that develops a cost-effective counter-drone solution to protect people and critical infrastructure. We are an international team of ambitious engineers who combine expertise in autonomous systems and UAV design.

We are looking for a new team member who is eager to make a real difference! As a Drone Pilot Trainer, you will push the boundaries of unmanned systems and collaborate with operators to drive real-world missions.

Your roadmap to make an impact:

  • Plan, prepare and conduct flight testing activities.

  • Train and onboard internal drone pilots through practical and theoretical instruction, ensuring safe and compliant operations.

  • Develop internal training materials and procedures for pilot skill development and mission readiness.

  • Evaluate pilot performance and provide feedback to continuously improve flight quality and safety.

  • Support operational excellence, including pre‑flight planning, risk awareness, and best‑practice flight execution.

  • Take responsibility for product demonstrations, military exercises, and operator training sessions.

  • Document performance data and analyze results to drive product improvements.

  • Work directly with mission partners to plan and execute operations, understand challenges, and implement solutions.

Job requirements

  • Several years of relevant work experience or degree in Robotics, Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering .

  • You hold a valid EASA STS Remote Pilot Certificate (STS‑01 and/or STS‑02).

  • You have the skills to make things fly; experience in autonomous aerial systems, including their structure, software, and electronics, is a strong advantage.

  • You are a passionate FPV pilot with state-of-the-art knowledge and a hands-on, get-it-done attitude.

  • Strong understanding of UAS regulations, flight safety, and operational procedures.

  • Self-driven, structured, and motivated to help build and shape a growing drone operation.

  • Able to collaborate in teams of technical and non-technical individuals, and comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.

  • Willingness and interest in traveling to partners’ sites as needed.

  • Proficiency in English. German knowledge is beneficial.
